About the Speaker: Russell N. Olmsted
Russell N. Olmsted, MPH, CIC, has over 38 years of experience in the fields of infection prevention and control and healthcare epidemiology. Russ serves as the Director of Infection Prevention Management for Trinity Health’s Integrated Clinical Services headquartered in Livonia, MI. Trinity Health is an integrated network of hospitals and other sites of care with locations in 22 states across the U.S.
He is involved in several activities related to infection prevention and control on a state, national, and international basis. These include a reviewer for the American Journal of Infection Control, prior service as 2011 President of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control & Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC), and prior membership in CDC’s Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee from 2006-2010. He is currently a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) 170 Committee that oversees standard 170, Ventilation of Healthcare Facilities.
