At the end of this course, the learner shall be able to:
- Verbalize three elements of the aging population and how it is evolving the need for caregivers to receive training in this area
- Understand the physical changes in the in the frail elderly population and how it affects vascular access considerations
- State the ways caregivers can improve vascular access approaches for a person with a diagnosis of dementia
- Understand how infections are expressed differently in the elderly population and interventions to prevent sepsis and line related complications
