- March 5, 2021 from 1-2pm EST: Decolonization and HAI Prevention: Science and Strategies.
- This webinar will discuss decolonization strategies across various patient care settings. Nasal decolonization, as part of a layered infection prevention intervention, has shown to decrease the incidence of surgical site infections (SSI), blood stream infections (BSI), ventilator-associated pneumonias (VAP), as well as multi-drug resistant organism (MDRO) transmission/acquisition. Review the practice recommendations, the supporting science of the currently available nasal decolonization products, as well as explore targeted versus universal decolonization efforts in healthcare.
