Should you "Fist Bump" Your Physician?

Should you “Fist Bump” Your Physician?
A new study in the American Journal of Infection Control was released on Monday. Researchers tested three different forms of greetings (hand shake, high five, fist bump) and determined the “fist bump” spreads the least amount of bacteria. The authors suggest this greeting be used between doctors and patients in replacement of the handshake, given that the no-contact greeting, championed by the Journal of the American Medical Association, might take a while to fully supplant the handshake. The story references healthcare associated infections, continuing to put this issue in the consumer space.
